MCH Surgical Oncology
Dr. Nikhil Garg is a surgical oncologist at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bathinda, Punjab. He was earlier attached as an Assistant professor with Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute, Ahmedabad. He completed his MS Surgery from Dayanand Medical College and Hospital in 2015 for which he received the university gold medal. Thereafter he did his M.Ch from the prestigious Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute, Ahmedabad.
During his M.Ch, he performed more than 500 cancer surgeries. He has also done his fellowship in hepatobiliary oncology from Tokyo Women Medical University(Japan) under Dr. Harushi Osugi and Dr Yamamomto. Dr. Nikhil has presented a variety of papers in many national and international conferences.
His main areas of interest are gastrointestinal cancers, hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers, head and neck cancers, breast cancer (with special interest in breast oncoplasty), urological cancers (prostate, kidney and bladder cancer), gynecological cancers, thoracic and lung cancer.
Dr. Nikhil is striving to make AIIMS, Bhatinda a highly reputed cancer care institute and aims to provide high quality and comprehensive cancer treatment to the people of Punjab and nearby states.
